April 16, 2024<br>Dr. Hancock is an extremely thoughtful and precise chiropractor. He carefully reviews the patient's situation, condition and desire for level of treatment. He takes careful and deliberate steps as one begins treatment. By that, I mean he gently gears his treatment to prevent doing too much too fast, so the patient is not overwhelmed with excessive treatment and put into possible discomfort at the beginning of the process when one starts on as a new patient. His expertise, in my opinion, is centered about a holistic longer-term approach of adjustments looking over a designed period of time to get long standing results. (I am now on my 25th appointment since I first joined his practice as a client, and after being x-rayed and analyzed.) All of his adjustments have been subtle in how my body has responded, and I have gently become aware of my having more daily flexibility, agility, and range of motion over time. (Neck and lower back have been my issues and what he is targeting to "fix" for me.) His treatments have positively snuck up on me, because several of my issues have lifted without my dwelling on results on a day-to-day basis. There is no question that Dr. Hancock cares about his clients. He is very warm and very professional too. He answers all of my questions thoroughly when I ask highly specific inquiries. Dr. Hancock is very efficient with his client's time, so if you have to have adjustments during a workday schedule you will find this extremely helpful. The office, itself, is run in a very efficient manner and waiting time is minimal. (I have never waited more than 10 minutes for treatment and on those visits, I had to fill out forms. Most visits I have been seen within 5 minutes, at most, from singing in.)<br>As a client for 5 1/2 months now, I have been treated very kindly and I have nothing but nice things to say about Friendship Heights Chiropractic care. The office staff are exceptionally warm, thoughtful, helpful, and polite. I feel as though I am in good hands, and I have great trust in Dr. Hancock. My treatments have completely resolved my pain, tightness, and very poor motion of my pelvic area, lower back, and neck. I could barely lift my right leg more than 6 inches off the ground and had horrendous balance (putting on pants) when I first joined this practice. I have totally normal range of motion now and can do upward leg thrusts and bend over to tie my shoes. (I was in such bad shape that I had to tie my shoes by using a step.) My transformation has been dramatic now that time has passed. After having put in a great deal of research looking for a local chiropractor (with excellent reviews) and in range of my neighborhood, I feel like I made a great choice to date! Typically, I sign in, am sent right to one of the rooms to get stretched out for about 5 minutes, and then Dr Hancock (or chiropractic resident Julia) come in immediately. They've both kept me informed on my progress and have recommended quick and easy exercises, and realistic adjustments to my daily habits that have had a big impact on my daily experience and healing. Most of my "regular adjustment" appointments last just 15 minutes...so I can even schedule them on my lunch hour.<br><br>The receptionist is always very welcoming, friendly, and quick. She and the office manager do a FANTASTIC job of keeping on top of what's needed for insurance, and they do the work of submitting for approval...they are so efficient!<br><br>The office is in a larger building which has a convenient parking lot in back. When I started seeing Dr Hancock I was in so much pain in my neck and left shoulder/arm. I had deteriorating discs in my neck which resulted in a pinch nerve and lots of pain. One doctor told me to have neck surgery and another thought that was a really bad idea. Through regular visits with Dr Hancock the pain in manageable. and I often forget it is even there
